I hate highschool

What a disaster

It’s a catastrophe

I hate listening to my monotone teacher

Who repeats the lesson like beats of a CD

Earning nothing but sleep from the class

I hate the homework that the teachers give

I hate that we have to spend an hour a day

Only receiving a little check mark for our effort

Which has no meaning at all

I hate taking test every few weeks

Just when we feel glad with our progress in class

They just feel bad and worse

I hate taking finals every semester

Torturing us with every question

Because all we can do is to guess this question

Everyone needs some serenity

Not living in calamity

People say this is reality

But i hate this reality

I hate highschool

I liked doing this poetry slam because of we had to burst our anger hate poems. The hate poems were really easy to write because it was a free verse poem, unlike Haikus, I could write the poem without thinking of what sylables or rhymes and everyhing.The ideas of the hate poems were more personal so it was easier to think of and write. Except for trying to make it rhyme the whole process didnt take a lot of time. Also I liked how the poem was more direct.
